Is there a specific reason SQL Server authentication is not supported in SQLNexus?

for security reasons.

We cache sql connection string.  a user's password would be cached.  In .NET, it's easy to get via debugger.

Thanks for the answer. It wasn't difficult to modify the source code to handle SQL Server security. As a consultant, I'm often faced with having to use a temporary SQL Server login because I'm outside of a customer's domain. So being able to login using different credentials is a big plus for me.
