Importing SQL_2008_Perf_Stats.sql data

Nov 16, 2010 at 12:47 AM

I've ran the custom task "SQL 2008 perf stats script" and captured the output from SQLdiag. SQLNexus import does not import the output file generated by the script SQL_2008_Per_Stats.sql. it doesn't appear in the Data Import window when loading the scripts. The tbl_requests table is also not created in the sqlnexus database. When I try to view the report I get the error "The database does not have necessary data to run this report".

The blocker script is imported however when I click on the report I get the same error.

Can you please upload the SQLNexus log file for the import?

It fails when it runs the PerfStatsAnalysis.sql script and produces the following error in the sqlnexus log.

Invalid column name 'Value'.

IF OBJECT_ID ('tbl_SCRIPT_ENVIRONMENT_DETAILS') IS NOT NULL

   SELECT RIGHT (REPLICATE (' ', 24) + LEFT ([Name], 20), 21) + ':', LEFT ([Value], 60) FROM tbl_SCRIPT_ENVIRONMENT_DETAILS

WHERE script_name = 'SQL 2005 Perf Stats Script'

Changing the column name allows the script to run further then it fails to create any tables.

What is the name of the output file that the PerfStats script is creating? The above information just tells me that the necessary data is not present. Could you copy and paste the entire SQLNEXUS.LOG file from a new import failure?

I've tried pasting my entire log file, and CodePlex is choking on it.

I'm going to create an issue and add it there.
